SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE
The Machine Operator operates the bagging machines, moves materials according to the production requirements and disposes of waste materials.
- Setup and operate the machine to bagging needs.
- Troubleshoot and repair.
- Replenish machine with materials.
- Clean work area - sweeping and picking up fruit and debris..
- Safely operate the pallet jack.
- Able to utilize the print and apply machine and assist other departments as needed.
- Keep machines running efficiently with minimal downtime.
REQUIRED EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Ability to lift materials (50+ lbs) and stand for long periods.
- Ability to work independently and perform repetitive tasks.
- Good vision and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills between Machine Operator, Supervisor and coworkers.
- Dependable - job requires being reliable, responsible, and dependable in fulfilling obligations.
- Know and abide by all company policies, Rules and Regulations
- Observe safety procedures – report potentially unsafe conditions
- Good interpersonal skills, with ability to work effectively with all levels of associates
- Must be flexible with hours of operations
- Ability to multitask
WORK HOURS & ENVIRONMENT
40+ hours work week and required to work additional hours during peak times or as needed. Weekends and nights are required as needed.
- Work is performed indoors in packinghouse environment
- Working around machinery
- Working around moving vehicles
- Will be required to wear appropriate safety protection when needed.
